Interior Painting: Trending Colors for 2021!

Posted by Sam Sundeleaf on Tuesday, January 05, 2021

We can probably all agree that we are ready to welcome 2021 with bells, whistles, and open arms after the year that we’ve just gotten through. There is just something about the turning of a new year that brings fresh perspectives, even when we are not looking for it.

We’ve had a lot of time in our homes this year, some difficult moments, yes, but also some that will probably be cherished and glued into our hearts as special memories for years to come. You know, the kind of stories that get passed down to the next generation.

2020 may be over, but there are still more memories to be made! In fact, we want to help you and your family find the fresh perspectives that we all need to continue moving forward.

Trending Colors for 2021

One way that we know we can help is simply by giving the interior of your home a fresh new look. It is amazing how something so simple can boost your perspectives as we face the days to come.

So here it is… the colors that we’ve seen trending for 2021!

Simple Yet Refreshing: White

Believe it or not, white has become quite popular in homes these days. There are many different kinds of white, some that will warm your home and others that will brighten your home. White is a refreshing way to minimize the feeling of stress by getting back to the basics. Adding natural colors such as browns, greens, and other neutral colors can be the perfect way to decorate and create a home that feels fresh each time you walk in the door.

Neutral Colors With Yellow or Red Accents

If you’re looking for something a little less simplistic, pairing a neutral color such as greige with either yellow or red accents can be the perfect way to shout to the world that you are here and ready to take on 2021. Yellow tones tend to bring joy and happiness and can be a great pick-me-up color after a long day. Red shows that you are full of passion, boldness, and joy.

Blues and Greens Are Ready To Be Seen

If you want a little color, but are not looking for anything too bold, consider using a neutral color on your wall with either blue or green accents. We recommend sticking closely to whichever hue you choose. Blues bring the feeling of stability and calmness, something we are all ready to grasp in 2021. On the other hand, using green can bring nature back into your home so that each day you’ll wake up full of fresh perspectives.

Bold and Strong: Dark Bronze

Our last color that we want to present to you is a dark brown/bronze color. We feel that Sherwin-Williams has the perfect color to help you understand what we mean. This dark, bold color mixes well with natural wood and greens. It is a color that shows that you are bold, strong, and ready to take the day on.
